What is Alipay?
Alipay ,which is also known as Zhīfùbǎo (支付宝), is a third-party mobile payment platform, established in China (Hangzhou) by Alibaba Group. Alipay was founded by Jack Ma in February 2004. It is the most widely used third-party online payment service provider in China.
Now the details have come to light. It was known that Jack Ma’s fintech giant topped 1.3 billion users globally. Alipay, a brand of the Ant’s group app, claims to have 1.3 billion annual active users as of March 2020 and more than 330 million daily active users in China.
Your account’s protection is Alipay’s utmost priority. Protection is one of the most important thing for Alipay as more than 1 billion people use it annually.
Alipay uses a risk monitoring system called Real-time monitoring. Real-time monitoring makes sure that all payments are closely monitored 24 hours a day and 7 days a week which means that it monitors every transaction made.
Alipay also provides member protections such as;
Full Amount Reimbursement and 90 days payment protection
Full Amount Reimbursement gives you a refund of any unauthorized transactions that were made with your Alipay account without your notice.
90 days payment protection is a protection area where you can file a claim for any unauthorised transactions within 90 days.
Even if you have a problem regarding Alipay, the Payment Security Team will handle it and respond within five business days.
You can also take some steps to ensure your account’s protection, they are:
- Try to use a more complicated password. Ensure that the password has a minimum length of 10. Any password which is more than 10 characters is hard to crack. Also ensure that your password not only has letters or numbers, but also contains a combination of letters, numbers and special characters.
- You should try to make payments using your mobile data or your wi-fi. Avoid trying to use public wi-fi as some hackers might try to hack your personal data. Also always lock your phone when you are not using it. This reduces the chance of hacking your phone.
